2. The point on the space-time continuum described in the journal entry
above was inspired by the games and backstory novels created by a passle

It swings there . . .
a member of an inner group of planets . . .
within one of the collections of worlds gathered up . . .
and then set into self-sustaining dances by T'nk.
Its orbit circles an isolated cluster of small yellow stars . . .
which have found refuge in a protected lee . . .
behind an insanely large stellar nursery . . .
a distant glowing nebula.
From its closest moon . . .
it appears to be an astonishing,planet-sized jewel.
Prismed light from many sources . . .
ignites crowds of facets as each day passes.
Upon closer observation the reflections and sparkles resolve into a network . . .
of interconnected geodesic domes . . .
some of which enclose whole mountain ranges . . .
or an entire ocean.
Each dome's intricate surfaces form crystalline mosaic patterns.
To an educated eye each one tells . . .
of its composition and the wavelengths of light . . .
it allows to reach its enclosed bit of the planet's surface.
The view from a low orbit above Ma'Kluft . . .
which is one of the very oldest worlds . . .
successfully collected and integrated by T'nk . . .
is a sight only rarely enjoyed by organic eyes. At any one time only a very few Engineers . . .
had orbiting clearance orhad acquired all necessary skills . . .
to effectively maneuver the gossamer-like steering vanes . . .
that festooned each ship within a small fleet of inspection capsules.
Whenever one was occasionally scheduled to venture out . . .
its take-off, its planned flight path and its eventual return . . .
was tightly leashed by planetwide preparations . . .
and lockstepped procedures.
The agenda of this ungainly, rigidly-enforced process:
There has been, and will continue to be, no significant
ruptures in the planet's canopy, recorded over multiple
tens of thousands of years, during which Ma'kluft has
supplied and will continue to supply, untainted fresh
air for a thousand plus giant complexes located within
underground seas or cities within the T'nk System
in the "near" vicinity of Ma'kluft.
Exhausted or contaminated air packets arrive
and cycle through many sets of engineered ecosystems . . .
before it is allowed to chill at the poles . . .
and then sink through huge tubular channels drilled down to the planet's interior.
Once reaching the first subterranean control nexus . . .
the air is steered through Ma'Kluft's crust . . .
channeled through network after network . . .
of staged pre-induction conditioners.
Eventually the air makes its constantly monitored way into focusing grids . . .
where its molecules are aligned . . .
and its forward momentum is increased . . .
in preparation for its coming journey across time and/or space.
The last stage moves the air through monstrous caverns lined with sub-atomically altered minerals . . .
which ultimately formed gangs of manifolds that steered the air to massive pipes . . .
large enough to contain entire mountains . . .
were such a thing deemed worth doing.
Millions of cubic feet per minute slip along unaided . . .
steered only by the pumping effects of alp-sized screws . . .
and tightly engineered sets of monstrous baffles . . .
placed at carefully specified intervals.
These mechanisms maintain the air's forward movement at a pace . . .
fast enough to keep a spiky horde of pitot tubes . . .
which coat all manifold passageways . . .
from triggering low-flow alarms.
At the transporter end of this planetwide air handling system . . .
a structure glows from deep within its encapsulating water jacket.
Its exact shape is ambiguous to the army of Engineering eyes which observe it . . .
from thousands of maintenance structures.
These sensor posts jut from the inner surface of the transporter's gargantuan cavern . . .
encapsulating the vast underground sea . . .
in which the transporter's water jacket and network of transparent expansion chambers . . .
is submerged.
Reflections and glows coming from . . .
the constantly moving plasma . . .
of the transporter's linking field . . .
shimmer through the clear cyan-colored depths of the water.
A planetwide army of skilled eyes and hands . . .
which maintains and supplements automatic elements . . .
keeps the process functioning strong and steady . . .
within its incalculably valuable isolation.
Smaller reversed-procedure systems of air moving structures and personnel . . .
catch and channel all newly-arrived fresh air . . .
into restricted access tunneling around and below . . .
each underground or undersea complex or city receiving it.
